Mamba was born black and white but within days it was clear he was not a classic black and white, but more "seal" as described by Italian Greyhound or Boston Terrier breeders. As an adult he has an almost copper glow in certain light, his black hairs not completely covering his agouti red coat which "shows through." His AKC registration is "Sable and White" as that is the convention used by breeders before me for this uncommon coat color / pattern, vs "Red and White" or "Black and White"
