Steel Run
We are a small hobby breeder that strives to stay true to the breed. Our dogs are all farm dogs that are used for chores around our ranch. We do not breed just for looks. We breed for very versatile puppies that can be used from working cattle, search and rescue, therapy dogs, to just your average family dog. Our dogs are registered with AKC and/or ASCA. We follow the Australian Shepherd Club of America's breed standard. We do have DNA tests for our dogs with AKC and/or ASCA. All of our dogs are tested for CERF (Canine Eye Registration Foundation) and with HSF4 (Juvenile Hereditary Cataracts), CEA (Collie Eye Abnormality), and PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy). We also test for MDR1 (Multi-Drug Resistance 1).
