Keeping You Updated On Paw Print Genetics Regarding COVID-19

Paw Print Genetics continues to remain open for business and is operating as normal as possible during these unusual times. Our laboratory is located in the state of Washington and our Governor, Jay Inslee, issued a ‘stay-at-home’ order that went into effect March 25th, 2020 with the exception of essential businesses. Veterinary services are considered an essential business. On April 2nd, 2020, the stay at home order was extended to May 4th. Here at Paw Print Genetics, we are taking this order very seriously. We continue to have those employees that can work from home do so, such as our customer care team. In addition, we have been following new protocols for our laboratory employees and shipping department, to make sure that we are minimizing interactions, taking extra sanitary measures, and practicing social distancing. To do this, the laboratory technicians are working in shifts that allow no more than 7 people in the laboratory at the same time. We are fortunate to have enough space to keep workspaces separated to limit interactions among these employees. However, the shift work has resulted in slight changes to our normal schedule but has not yet affected our usual turnaround times. However, we are not able to promise stat orders or rushed samples in less than 10 days at this time, but we always do our best to get your testing done as fast as possible.

Even with all these changes, we are committed to providing the highest quality of testing in the industry to our customers. All our testing will continue to be held at the highest standards, and each test from Paw Print Genetics will continue to have a greater than 99.9% accuracy rate. We will continue to do our best to get your results back to you within our usual turnaround time of 14 days or less, and we appreciate your patience and understanding in the current situation that may result in any delays. Our team of on-staff veterinarians and geneticists are also here to answer any questions you have before or after testing. We understand these test results not only aid in important decisions for your dogs, but that they also increase the value of your breeding program. We are committed to be your laboratory that you can count on through these uncertain times.

If you have any current litters or upcoming planned puppies that need testing, we recommend taking the time now to catch up on your genetic testing. By purchasing testing sooner than later, you will have the kits on-hand to send your samples to us right away to help ensure that there is not a delay in getting your testing results for your puppy buyers. We offer frequent discounts to you to make testing affordable. If you have any questions or concerns, please call us directly at 509-483-5950 or toll-free at 855-202-4889, or email us at AskUs@PawPrintGenetics.com.
